Fiesta Fun
To celebrate Matt's graduation from the U last summer, Michelle had a surprise party for him at their house. He was totally surprised when he came home from work that day to a house full of family & friends!
Most of our family was there (with the exception of Christian, who had to work). Melissa, Jim and Sean came up from Las Vegas, and Brian, Chantell, Tony, Zack & Hailey came from Ogden. All of Matt's family was there too.
The food was awesome ~ chips & salsa, fresh guac, chorizo-queso dip, and a carne asada taco buffet. Yumm-o!
All of the kids (including Kaya) had a ball playing croquet and swinging at the pinatas that we hung in the trees. The highlight of the night was watching Matt attempt to hit the pinata, after Kellie & Audrey spun him around until he was dizzy!
The post below is a photo book of the party. There were a lot of laughs and some great memories made that day.....it was truly a day to remember.
SUPER BOWL SUNDAY
We went to Marty & Nyla's house for the big game, and this is how they greeted us at the door! They were wearing the special 3-D glasses for the Sobe commercial. We had a great time with our wonderful friends, watched an exciting game, and enjoyed the delicious football food they prepared, especially the guacamole!
(Gotta love firm avocados!)
Farewell dinner with Bruce & Janet
Since Michelle will be leaving Saturday to move to Phoenix, Matt's parents wanted to get together to tell her good-bye. So on Tuesday night Bruce & Janet treated Michelle, along with Eric & I, to dinner at Kobe Steak House. It's one of those Japanese restaurants where they prepare your food on an open grill. We had a great time watching the chef do his magic with knives & flames, and enjoyed some awesome sushi too. Bruce & Eric had a ball with the "Saki Bomb" ritual!
