Birthday Bouquet

I was very surprised to receive these gorgous flowers from Chantell, Brian, Tony, Zack and Hailey for my birthday. They were so beautiful!! I've never before been given such a big and beautiful bouquet. This pic just doesn't even do it justice. There were red roses, Gerber daisies, Asian lillies, and lots of other really stunning flowers.
Thanks, you guys -- they were awesome!!!

Brian, Chantell, Tony, Zack & Hailey surprised me with a beautiful huge bouquet of flowers!!
And Hailey brought me a very special added gift...a Garfield doll!
What a fun night with my wonderful family.

Sly as a FOX!

This little critter crept into our backyard recently, no doubt looking for food. He came right up by our back door, and then jumped up into the bushes. After digging around for a while, he slinked back down the hill.
I'm sure he'll be back again.

Gateway shopping

More shopping photos. I was wishing that Melissa & Michelle were there too!!  We love browsing in ZGallerie.  They had all of their awesome Christmas decor on display.

Holiday Shopping

Hubby and I went downtown to do some Christmas shopping at the Gateway.  It was lightly snowing and seemed like the perfect setting for the season.  We enjoyed a bowl of hot tomato soup & pannini at Biaggi's and scored some really good finds in the stores!

Hailey in disguise...

Who could this be???
I think it's Hailey, wearing the mask that she found in her Christmas stocking!

Jeans Bars

These are some goodies I took to work, called "Jeans Bars" ~ because after you eat them, you won't fit into your jeans!!!

Pesky Little Visitors

The other night, a Mama racoon and two of her babies wandered out in the back yard for a visit. After attacking the bird feeders hanging in the trees, they walked around the patio and lawn, probably searching for more goodies. Their eyes look really eerie in the night light!

Macabre Mansion

While hubby and I were in Syracuse, we stopped by the "Macabre Mansion".  It's at someone's house, and they've completely decked out their entire yard with awesome Halloween decor.  They don't charge people to visit -- but they do accept donations for the Food Bank.  Very cool.

These pictures show just a portion of their front yard.....this is only about 1/4 of their total display!

Trip to Willey's

Last Saturday, Eric & I went to RC Willey's (furniture store) in Syracuse. It was such a gorgeous day! I took a few pics just to remember how nice this year's Indian summer has been.

Yay!!!

SAN DIEGO (AP)—Some things never change in San Diego, such as the great weather and LaDainian Tomlinson and the San Diego Chargers beating the hapless Oakland Raiders.
Tomlinson scored twice, the first in the wildcat, and the Chargers won 24-16 on Sunday, their 13th straight victory against the Raiders. It’s the longest active NFL winning streak by one team over another.
The Chargers (4-3) have swept the series for the sixth straight season. Many Chargers, including quarterback Philip Rivers, have never lost to the Raiders (2-6). It was San Diego’s seventh straight home win against the Raiders.

Charge!!

Unfortunately, today's game is not being broadcast in the Salt Lake market.  I'm so bummed.  The Arizona Cards game that Michelle & Matt are attending today is also not on tv here.
However, the Broncos and the Packers games were shown...oh, what a surprise!

Chargers Breakdown: San Diego, which will be seeking its first back-to-back wins of the season today, snapped a two game skid last weekend by pounding the Chiefs 37-7 in Kansas City. The easy win improved to the Chargers to 3-3 overall and left them three games back of the Broncos in the AFC West standings. It is all but imperative that Phillip Rivers and company take care of business against the Raiders this afternoon with the Giants, Eagles, and Broncos coming up over the next three weeks. That should not be a problem, though, as the Chargers are 6-0 in their last six games against Oakland at Qualcomm.

Game Day Today!!

Matt & Michelle get to go to the Arizona Cardinals game today, and their seats are on Row 6!  I'm so excited for them -- I hope we'll get to see them on tv!!!

Who knew they still existed??

We had a TV repairman come to our house yesterday. I thought they had gone the way of the dinosaur!! Turns out they're still roaming the earth after all. He was a nice guy, very professional, and really knew his stuff!

Our TV has been problem-free for 5 years, but now it has taken on a life of its own --- turning itself on and off randomly whenever it feels like it!!!

Raking leaves

Zack and Hailey came over last Sunday to help us rake all of the fallen leaves in our yard.  They worked really hard (especially Zack - he was hoping for a big payout!) and we filled about a dozen big garbage bags.  Even though it was a chore, we still had a good time.  We took a turkey sandwich lunch break, and then went for a walk in the neighborhood.  When we got back, we played Uno & some other games for a while, had some yummy pizza for dinner and then called it a night!
