Let it snow, let it snow...

We got hit hard with a massive snowstorm on the morning of Wednesday, January 9th - dumping more than one inch of heavy, wet snow per hour.....all day long!! Driving to work that morning was a real challenge. What would normally be a fifteen minute commute ended up taking more than two hours!

CHARGE!!!

My beloved Chargers came through with a 17-6 win over the Titans today to win the first game in the playoffs! After a horrible first half that was as gloomy as the rainy skies in San Diego, they got fired up in the 3rd quarter. Now they're on to Indianapolis to play the Colts next Sunday. Their last meeting ended in a 23-21 victory for the Chargers against Peyton Manning & crew. Let's hope they do it again!

Evolution of a SNOWMAN

While Christian and Sean were here for Christmas, they made this neat snowman out in our back yard. He's about six feet tall, and Christian put icicles on his head for spiked hair. Since then, the poor guy has survived through rain and sleet and snow, and has now morphed into a big ol' white blob!
After one month.....
Grandpa, the show shoveler.
After two months, he's reduced to a stump, but he still hasn't melted!

Baby it's c-c-cold outside

After Christmas, temperatures dropped down to the single digits here in Utah. How cold was it?? It was so cold, we actually had icicles hanging on this sled, which was out by our front door!

A "NAGLER" in Connecticut!

When Eric and I were in Connecticut last September, Mark and Vonya took us to a library where we just happened to see this puppet on display. The artist's name is Mary Hildebrand NAGLER (my maiden name) which is very uncommon. We were so surprised to see it! I definitely need to contact this woman, to see if and how we might be related. (Love the puppet!)
